Location: London
Salary: From £40,000 (negotiable based on location, skills, and experience). For experienced tutors with an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification, salary could reach up to £56,000 per annum.

About the Role
As an Electrical Installations Tutor, you will:
- Deliver practical and theoretical electrical training, aligning with awarding organisation guidelines, our internal processes, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Teach courses such as:
- City & Guild 2365 (Levels 2 & 3)
- City & Guild 2382 (Full Domestic Installations)
- City & Guild 2391 (Full Industrial Installations)
- City & Guild 2377 (Patent Appliance)
- City & Guild 2921 (Engineering Science)
- BSPEC Solar Photovoltaics & Battery Storage
- Maintain course quality and accuracy
- Potentially develop customised training materials
- Collaborate with the team and external partners
- Monitor and assess student progression
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards

About You – Required Qualifications & Experience
- Recent industry experience in domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical installations.
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification (e.g., TaPET, PTLLS, DTLLS) or equivalent teaching experience.
- Level 2 English & Maths qualifications.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical principles and science applications.
- Practical expertise in installations, fault-finding, and testing.
- Full UK driving license (essential for travelling between locations).
Desirable, but not mandatory:
- Level 3 Assessors qualification (e.g., A1/A2, VTQ assessors).
- Internal Quality Assurance Certificate (Level 4 IQA).
- Additional qualifications such as (Level 3/4) C&G 2396, EESS/EV networks, Solar PV installations, or other renewable certification.
Attitudes & Skills:
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and independent – capable of managing projects and students’ progression.
- Proactive problem-solver with a calm and patient demeanour.
- Strong team player with enthusiasm for building supportive learning relations.
Who Are We Looking For?
We’re prioritising experienced qualified electricians, but we’re also helping skilled practitioners transition into teaching careers. If you’re a highly trained electrician looking to switch into education, traineeship opportunities may be available.
