Job Overview

City & Guilds Training is expanding and seeks Experienced Electrical Installation Tutors to join our team in Coventry. This role offers:

You’ll work as an Electrical Installations Tutor, delivering high-quality training in theory and practical skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and assessing courses such as:
    • C&G 2365 (Level 2 & 3)
    • C&G 2382
    • C&G 2391
    • C&G 2377, C&G 2921
    • BPEC Solar PV & Battery Storage
  • Developing tailored training materials based on requirements
  • Ensuring consistency with industry and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintaining Records and adhering to Health & Safety and DE&I policies
  • Collaborating with colleagues, accessors, and external stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Recent, relevant industry experience in domestic, commercial, and/or industrial electrical installation
  • Minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent
  • Level 2 in English & Maths
  • Strong electrical principles foundation and practical abilities
  • A valid UK driving licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Level 3 Assessing qualification
  • Level 4 Internal Quality Audit (IQA) certificate
  • Additional Level 3 & 4 specialisms, e.g., C&G 2396, or green credentials (Solar PV, EV, energy-efficient systems)

  • Teamworking ability with a self-motivated, independent approach
  • Problem-solving mindset and patience when working with learners

Additional Notes

  • We prioritise applicants with industry experience, though we also offer limited trainee tutor opportunities
  • Trainees must possess a full UK driving licence
  • All roles require enhanced DBS checks and work rights verification in the UK
