Location: Birmingham City Centre Contract Type: Temporary (possibility to go permanent) Rate: £25–27 per hour (paid via umbrella) Hours: Monday to Friday (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM) Start Date: Immediately
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Lead Engineer to take charge of electrical operations on a temporary basis. This role involves overseeing maintenance, ensuring safety standards, and supporting a multi-skilled engineering team within Facilities Management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a Multi-skilled Engineer on site while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple properties.
- Conduct fault finding, inspections, and electrical maintenance activities.
- Perform critical testing including emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, and tap changes.
- Uphold compliance with health & safety regulations and adhere to all site procedures.
- Participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota to handle unexpected job requirements promptly.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- 18th Edition Electrical Certification
- Proven experience in Electrical Lead, Lead Engineer, or Supervisory roles
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance track record within Facilities Management
- Comprehensive knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance operations
