Capital City College Group is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Electrical Lecturer to join our dynamic London-based team on a part-time, permanent basis.
About the Role
As an Electrical Lecturer, you’ll inspire and support learners at level 3 in Electrical Installation to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and practical instruction in electrical installation (pt.1 & 2 or 2320/2365 level 2 & 3 and Level 3 NVQ) for our diverse cohort of learners.
- Contributing to curriculum development, ensuring up-to-date and industry-relevant content.
- Mentoring students academically, technically, and personally through their learning journey.
- Fostering an inclusive, supportive, and dynamic learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practice and innovative teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver compelling lessons aligned with City & Guilds 2320, 2365, and NVQ frameworks.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress and set achievable goals.
- Maintain a high level of professional practice, adhering to safeguarding policies (DBS checks mandatory).
- Engage with parents/guardians and school liaisons where relevant to support learner progression.
- Contribute to college strategy, events, and community outreach initiatives.
Requirements
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
- Proven expertise in Electrical Installation (pt.1 & 2), City & Guilds 2320 Level 2 & 3, 2365 Level 2 & 3, or an equivalent Level 3 NVQ.
- Experience in educational context (preferred), or a willingness to transition into teaching.
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to inclusive and learner-centred education.
- Appropriate recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTLS, or equivalent), or a strong commitment to pursuing one.
- Ability to inspire and nurture learners from diverse backgrounds, helping them achieve their potential.
- Experience in a collaborative, vocational training setting is highly advantageous.
