Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Reports to: Shift Leader

Location: Morley

Hours: 39

Salary: £40,774.73 - £45,871.57 (12.5% shift allowance)

Please note - we operate a weekly rolling shift pattern, 6am - 2pm (early) and 2pm - 10:00pm (late).

As an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will work against the planned maintenance schedule to ensure machinery, equipment and facilities are at an acceptable standard. You will achieve reductions in downtime through planned and reactive maintenance by analysing major breakdowns, carrying out root cause analysis and putting solutions in place to prevent machinery/process issues reoccurring.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage outstanding and upcoming machine maintenance tasks Respond to any breakdowns Coordinate and control on-site contractors in line with company processes Ensure HSE KPIs and all relevant legislative requirements are consistently met Attend and actively participate in training to minimise skills gaps Support the maintenance strategy to improve reliability and up-time, driving towards world-class standards Analyse major breakdowns through comprehensive root cause analysis, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence Attend and contribute to team briefings and operational meetings

Who We’re Looking For

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline as a minimum Time served in an electrical maintenance role, with experience carrying out both planned/preventative maintenance as well as being able to respond to breakdowns Strong understanding of sound engineering practices Proven ability in fault find and problem solve within a manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Experience of continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles IT literate, with working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
