Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Warnham site, near Horsham ( paixable from Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, and Worthing)

About the Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Maintenance Electrician) at our Warnham site, you will be part of our hands-on internal team responsible for maintaining and optimising plant performance. Your role involves:
- Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure all equipment runs smoothly.
- Using your technical expertise to diagnose faults, perform installations, and carry out repairs.
- Programming Siemens and other PLCs for electromechanical systems.
- Conducting testing with diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
- Promoting Lean thinking and upholding Wienerberger’s scope ISO 9001 standards.
- Attending breakdowns and collaborating on safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation.
This physically demanding but rewarding position ensures our bricks manufacturing process runs at peak efficiency. Each day offers varied electrical and industrial challenges, and you’ll be a key player in supporting our production.

What You’ll Do
- Install and maintain electrical and electro-mechanical machinery.
- Operate a preventative maintenance system for electrical assets.
- Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and diagnostics on motors, pneumatics, and PLCs.
- Promote Lean processes and workplace efficiency.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies (EHS).
Location: Warnham site (Horsham, near Crawley/Haywards Heath). Commute: Personal vehicle required (free parking provided).
Hours: Rotating 4-on-4-off shifts (06:00–18:00).
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll have:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in electrical engineering (equivalent to City & Guilds 2365/2391/2393 or equivalent).
- Manual dexterity, physical fitness, and adaptability to shift work.
- Lean experience and appreciation for continuous process improvement.
- Team player mentality with strong written and verbal communication.
- Health and safety awareness, including first aid knowledge (training provided).
- Hands-on technical background in manufacturing with knowledge of:
- Electricity distribution, motors, and pneumatics.
- PLC programming (including Siemens hardware).
- 230V and low-voltage systems.

Desirable but not mandatory:
- 17th/18th edition qualified (training can be provided).
- Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent kinship studies.
- Heavy industry manufacturing experience.
