Role Summary
We're seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join Quat-Chem Limited in Rochdale. This role ensures the upkeep and improvement of biosecurity equipment and systems, supporting a global mission to maintain food safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to company health & safety regulations, including:
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
- SSOW (Safe System of Work)
- Radiation safety
- Awareness and hazard reporting
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on:
- Single-phase and 3-phase electrical equipment
- Control circuits
- Testing, inspecting, and logging all electrical work performed.
- Become the designated electrical duty holder for the site (training provided).
- Installing and relocating plant and machinery.
- Managing:
- Data cabling (Cat5e/Cat6)
- CCTV systems
- Fire alarm systems (including weekly testing)
- Supporting engineers with general maintenance duties.
- Coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Certifications
- Fully qualified, time-served electrician:
- 18th Edition of BS7671 compliance (City & Guilds 2391: Inspection & Testing).
- Preferred but not essential:
- Experience in manufacturing or chemical process environments.
- DSEAR, IPAF, or CompEx qualifications.
- Knowledge of basic PLC operation.
Technical Skills
- Fault-finding expertise for single-phase and 3-phase control circuits.
- Familiarity with motors and electrical control gear.
- Ability to interpret wiring standards and electrical drawings.
- Fire alarm system knowledge (weekly testing required).
- Basic IT proficiency for CMMS system data input and reporting.
Additional Criteria
- IPAF and PASMA training will be provided.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development with mandatory training attendance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
