Electrical Maintenance Operative
Electrical Maintenance Operative – Permanent Position
Location: Newport Job Type: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 per annum
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Operative to support multiple sites across the UK. The role involves servicing self-storage centres, office buildings, and retail units on behalf of a well-established and rapidly expanding organisation. You will play a key part in ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in excellent condition.
About the Role
- Carry out planned maintenance and respond to repair needs across multiple buildings
- Investigate and deliver timely, compliant repairs for electrical faults
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely, adhering to procedures such as Permit to Work and incident reporting
- Maintain clear, accurate records of work completed, materials used, and associated costs

- Executing electrical maintenance tasks across diverse property types
- Diagnosing faults and implementing solution-driven repairs
- Adhering to health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and industry standards
- Updating job records and IT systems - efficiently and accurately
About You – Key Qualifications & Experience
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical installation plus a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
- Experience working with cladding and roofing installations
- Valid IPAF licence
- (Not essential but advantageous) CSCS card
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and risk assessment procedures
- Full, clean UK driving license
- Proven ability to manage workload effectively and meet performance targets
- Confident IT skills to update jobs and maintain documentation
