Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor
Location: Teesside Area
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 x 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm), followed by 4 days off
SRG are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor to join a client based in the Teesside area. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supporting engineering and maintenance activities across the site, ensuring maximum plant availability, operational efficiency, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
This position would suit a proactive engineering professional who enjoys leading teams, solving technical problems, and driving continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Supervise and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities
- Drive plant reliability through effective planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance management
- Lead and support engineering teams during equipment breakdowns, ensuring faults are diagnosed and resolved efficiently
- Identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term engineering solutions
- Monitor engineering performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with external contractors and specialist service providers when required
- Support maintenance planning, permit-to-work systems, and scheduling activities
- Promote high standards of housekeeping, health & safety, and environmental compliance
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to engineering and operational teams

Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering (electrical bias preferred) or equivalent
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or senior engineering role within an industrial, manufacturing, processing, or production environment
- Strong experience maintaining production machinery and plant equipment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
