Job Description
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities across the manufacturing plant.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on a wide range of production equipment and machinery.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Conduct fault finding on electrical control systems, motors, drives, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Support continuous improvement projects aimed at improving plant reliability and performance.
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately using maintenance management systems.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work closely with production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.
- Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Assist in identifying root causes of recurring faults and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications
- We are looking for someone who is proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively in a demanding manufacturing environment.
You will ideally have:
- Experience working in an electrical maintenance role within manufacturing, industrial, or process environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, inverters, and control circuits.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, BTEC, City & Guilds, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
- Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship preferred.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable, not essential.
- Experience within a heavy manufacturing, wood products, process, FMCG, or industrial environment would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of PLC fault-finding and industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
