At Frazer-Nash we deliver innovative engineering solutions to our clients to make lives safe, secure, sustainable and affordable. It’s an exciting time to work in the nuclear industry and Frazer-Nash are involved in many projects across the whole lifecycle of various nuclear facilities. We’re seeking an Electrical Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our diverse team and play a role in expanding and growing our support to existing and new nuclear projects.
We support clients in all parts of the UK civil and defence nuclear industry, as well as a wide range of non-reactor, and experimental or demonstrator facilities. We provide technical support to our clients on engineering projects for the design, construction, operation, maintenance, defuelling, and decommissioning of their nuclear facilities
As an electrical nuclear safety professional, you will be expected to plan and undertake project work for clients on, or in support of, significant nuclear safety and assurance tasks, and supervise other staff in doing such work. You’ll apply your experience and knowledge in the nuclear industry to assess and justify electrical engineering problems and produce related safety justifications. You’ll also oversee and manage projects, develop and hold client relationships, and win new work; as well as supporting and coaching junior colleagues’ development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
