Electrical Project Coordinator | Up to £45,000 | Cambridge
Role Summary
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects by ensuring programmes, procurement and project documentation are effectively managed. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams and suppliers, the role ensures that projects remain organised, on schedule and fully compliant.
This is a highly visible coordination role that sits between office and site, acting as a central point of communication. Success in this position is defined by proactive organisation, attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple moving parts aligned.
It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a Project Manager position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with programme planning, updates and tracking against key milestones
- Coordinate material procurement, raise purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to site
- Manage subcontractor scheduling, confirming availability, scope and compliance requirements
- Track RFIs, technical queries and maintain accurate drawing registers
- Ensure all project documentation is organised, up to date and audit-ready
- Prepare progress reports, attend meetings and record/distribute minutes and action logs
- Assist with cost tracking and maintain variation logs to support commercial control
- Act as a key liaison between office teams, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors
- Proactively identify risks, delays or coordination issues and escalate early
- Support the production of handover documentation and O&M manuals throughout the project lifecycle

Essential Key Requirements / Skills
- Previous experience in a coordination, project support or construction-related role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different projects
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and project systems
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience within construction, fit-out, M&E or related sectors
- Familiarity with project management or job management systems such as Simpro
- Understanding of procurement and subcontractor coordination processes
- CSCS card
- Interest in progressing towards Project Manager level, including relevant qualifications such as SMSTS or APM

Location & Work Pattern
- Location: Office and site-based (UK)
- Working Pattern: Full-time, primarily office-based with regular site visits
- Travel: Occasional travel to project sites required
