Job Opportunity: Electrical Project Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our Building Services design team in our Maidenhead office. This role offers flexible working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office/on-site, along with the option for adjusted start and finish times.
About the Role
Sweco’s MEP consultancy and cross-sector building performance solutions unite specialist services to optimise how buildings function—bullish in life sciences, hotels, commercial, and healthcare. As leaders in sustainable, high-quality building services design, we deliver expertise in carbon reduction, lifecycle analysis, and infrastructure planning.
Our work spans adaptive reuse, fit-outs, decarbonisation, and new build masterplanning, combining façade, fire engineering, and sustainability for long-term, cost-efficient, and reliable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Collaborate closely with other Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, contributing to multi-disciplinary projects.
- Undertake outline and detailed designs for electrical works and provide technical input to teams.
- Ensure projects stay within scope, timescales, and budgets.
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Attend design and site meetings, contributing proactively to project success.

Requirements
Essential:
- A degree in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) with chartered status (or working towards it).
- Proven experience in a similar role with strong project management skills.
- Demonstrable success in managing varied projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, including innovative collaboration with architects and contractors.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills.
- Up-to-date familiarity with the UK construction market, including Revit, Navisworks, Clash Detection, and Amtech.
Desirable:
- Experience in lifecycle analysis or carbon reduction strategies.
