Job Opportunity: Electrical Project Engineer

Do you have what it takes to transform society?

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our Building Services design team in our Maidenhead office. This role offers flexible working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office/on-site, along with the option for adjusted start and finish times.

About the Role

Sweco’s MEP consultancy and cross-sector building performance solutions unite specialist services to optimise how buildings function—bullish in life sciences, hotels, commercial, and healthcare. As leaders in sustainable, high-quality building services design, we deliver expertise in carbon reduction, lifecycle analysis, and infrastructure planning.

Our work spans adaptive reuse, fit-outs, decarbonisation, and new build masterplanning, combining façade, fire engineering, and sustainability for long-term, cost-efficient, and reliable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Collaborate closely with other Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, contributing to multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Undertake outline and detailed designs for electrical works and provide technical input to teams.
  • Ensure projects stay within scope, timescales, and budgets.
  • Work with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Attend design and site meetings, contributing proactively to project success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
