Electrical Project Manager / MEP Lead

Docklands, London

We are seeking an experienced MEP Lead (Electrical Bias) to join a major data centre upgrade programme in East London. Working on behalf of a key client, you will lead the delivery of critical MEP upgrade and fit-out works across an operational mission-critical environment.

This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for coordinating electrical, mechanical and public health packages, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. You will ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the highest quality standards while maintaining minimal disruption to live operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of MEP upgrade and fit-out works across multiple project phases.
  • Act as the primary MEP interface between the client, consultants, contractors and commissioning teams.
  • Provide technical leadership across all MEP disciplines, with particular responsibility for electrical systems.
  • Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure including LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, containment, lighting and associated building services.
  • Coordinate mechanical and public health packages to ensure seamless integration with electrical systems.
  • Review contractor programmes and monitor progress against key project milestones.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Lead technical reviews, design coordination meetings and site progress meetings.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, productivity and compliance across all MEP activities.
  • Drive safe systems of work and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
  • Manage inspections, snagging, QA/QC processes and close-out activities.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities and support integrated systems testing (IST) and project handover.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Produce regular progress reports and provide updates to senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
