Electrical Project Manager | Data Centre | London
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering contractor for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a flagship data centre project in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a major electrical package on a hyperscale data centre, leading the project from construction through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will have full responsibility for the delivery of a large electrical package, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams
- Manage subcontractors
- Oversee procurement
- Collaborate closely with engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, and commercial teams to successfully deliver this mission-critical project
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a major electrical package from installation through to commissioning and final handover.
- Manage Construction Managers, Electrical Supervisors, Engineers, BIM teams, and subcontractors.
- Take ownership of project programmes, short-term planning, and weekly progress reporting.
- Manage procurement activities, material take-offs, and plant requirements.
- Coordinate labour resources and subcontractors to achieve programme milestones.
- Drive quality across the project, ensuring QA/QC inspections, ITPs and handover documentation are completed.
- Work closely with commercial teams on variations, change management, and cost reporting.
- Coordinate commissioning activities and support system energisation.
- Ensure all works comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Build strong relationships with the client, design teams, and project stakeholders.

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, delivering large-scale electrical projects.
- Experience managing electrical packages valued at £50 million+.
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical distribution systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, and critical power infrastructure.
- Previous experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, or other major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement, programme management, and construction sequencing.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client relationships.
- Excellent commercial awareness, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects from pre-construction through commissioning and final handover.
