Qualified Supervisor (EV Charging)

We Power Your Car is a fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) charging supply and installation company, based in Yorkshire and operating nationwide. We design and deliver EV charging solutions for both domestic and commercial customers, supporting them at every stage of their journey.

As part of our continued growth, we’re excited to welcome a Qualified Supervisor to join our Field Services team. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of time at home and site visits with some overnight stays around the country as required.

Reporting to:

Head of Field Services – Carl Cleary

Hours:

Full-time, 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with flexibility)

Location:

Home Based with UK travel as needed.

Salary:

Competitive, dependent on experience (DOE)

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards across our installations while supporting and developing our field teams. You’ll be responsible for auditing work, ensuring compliance with electrical regulations, and acting as a trusted technical point of contact. As well as working with our customer service and scheduling teams to ensure a great customer experience is achieved.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Auditing EV charger installations completed by in-house electricians and sub-contractors
  • Reviewing and signing off Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates in line with BS7671 and NICEIC requirements and Part P notifications.
  • Play an active part in training and onboarding new starters.
  • Working collaboratively to improve workmanship, safety, and processes
  • Supporting and managing a team of electricians
  • Providing technical support to installation and customer service teams
  • Conducting site visits, audits, and regular one-to-ones
  • Ensuring incidents are logged in line with company procedures
  • Coordinating team availability with the scheduling team

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to pass a DBS check
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - REQUIRED
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) - REQUIRED
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing - REQUIRED
  • ECS Gold Card – Approved status
  • EV Charging qualification 2919 – Desirable
  • Minimum 5 years in the electrical industry
  • At least 1 year as a Qualified Supervisor (Unless internal)
