Electrical Remedial Engineer
About the Role
British Engineering Services Group is the leading end-to-end risk management solutions provider in the UK and Ireland. Specialising in keeping customer assets legally compliant, operational, and—above all—safe, we prioritise safety in all we do.
Our electrical division focuses on electrical safety, including:
- Conducting hundreds of essential Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and critical inspections daily.
- Leading as a specialist EV charging solutions provider, managing end-to-end installation and ongoing safety inspections.
For this role, you must live within South London and be comfortable travelling across the South West.
Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Duties
- Carry out electrical testing in domestic/communal areas of the social housing industry (North West and Yorkshire regions).
- Undertake remedial works, such as:
- Distribution board changes
- RCB installations
- Socket replacements
- Engage in small projects, including EV charger installations.
- Follow and ensure compliance with:
- Company electrical policies and procedures
- Health and Safety regulations
- Maintain CRM and reporting systems by accurately recording electrical documentation.
- Liaise with customers and supply chain to deliver excellent service.
- Oversee stocks in your assigned van to improve first-time fixes.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Qualification in electrical installation work, e.g.:
- C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent (2394/2395).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrated positive, diverse and inclusive attitude towards internal/external customers.
- Computer literacy skills.
