Salary: up to £48,500 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 43 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8.30am to 4.30pm, with a 1 in 3 weekend callout rota

Location: Mobile across West Midlands

We're looking for a qualified candidate to carry out PPM maintenance regime, fault finding and repairs on large industrial utility plant, de-commissioning and re-commissioning (electrical & Mechanical) on a wide range of Plant including (Steam and Hot Water Boilers, ASHP, Compressed Air Systems and Water Treatment plant), BMS systems including Trend, PLC, Scada & Iconics Platforms.


The role will be working within a close team where they will be Veolia's lead on site and key is to deliver excellent customer focus and service delivery. The role will also be our key front facing Customer Contact on a daily basis and be able to liaise with the client for service deliverables.


The role will require a flexible approach ensuring that the service delivery to our clients is met at all times which in turn means holidays are covered within a fixed rota, which will be determined by clients operational requirements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carry out duties in accordance with the Veolia Health and Safety manual and Company Operating Procedures and work to the values of the company mission and vision statements.
  • To write Permit to Works and Carryout Isolation's on equipment for you and contractors.
  • To ensure and maintain a superior level of aesthetics and housekeeping in and around the plant, equipment and buildings.
  • To safely carry out all Veolia Planned Preventive Maintenance activities ensuring they are all complete with the desired Month / Time Frame which involves the planned preventative maintenance, routine servicing and inspection and commissioning on all mechanical plant, electrical equipment and instrumentation.
  • To safely operate and maintain all site main utilities under Veolia's control ensuring 100% service delivery is supplied to the client under contract KPI's.
  • To work within a close Team on a 1 in 4 call out / weekend working Rota covering the sites 24/7.
  • Interact with our Clients on a Daily basis to meet their needs and deliver excellent customer service delivery.
  • Interface with the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System in accordance with company operating procedures.
  • Provide assistance to contractors working on site.
  • Work in any area within his/her competence under the direction of the Operations supervisor.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified to C&G level in Electrical Maintenance
  • HV Electrically qualified as AP (Training can be given)
  • Proven ability to fault find on PLC and control systems.
  • Must be able to form part of a small team and be willing to coach and assist other team members.
  • Be pro-active and self-managing and to exercise individual core technical skills effectively, flexibly to a high personal standard of workmanship.
  • To maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Self motivating and a strong team player with a can do attitude prepared to go the extra mile.
  • Proven ability to fault find and problem solve both electrically and mechanically.
  • Excellent communications skills (written, telephone manner/verbal/face to face).
  • Able to understand and act on both verbal and written instructions/procedures.
  • Seeks out and takes opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Good PC skills.
  • Full Driving licence.
