Electrical Shift Engineer
Location: 20/22 Ropemaker Street
Reporting to: Technical Services Manager
Hours: Day shift (12/7), continental day shift
Position Concept
JLL Workplace Management is recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer role at 20/22 Ropemaker Street, a new high-rise property in Moorgate. This role is crucial in delivering contractual obligations and operational excellence while fostering a “one team” ethos throughout the building’s lifecycle. The position offers the opportunity to work on large, complex systems.
Experience in electrical switching and critical infrastructure is required, and the ideal candidate will either hold HV switching authorization or be willing to undertake HV training.
Key Tasks
Duties to include:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as per CAFM & management instructions. Tasks include electrical repairs, testing, inspection, installation, and support for the wider team. Close / update completed PPM tasks on the site's CAFM system (Concept MRI Pro)[Source: 22 Ropemaker Street - Mechanical Shift engineer .docx]. Maintain standards of workmanship to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the building’s electrical systems and associated infrastructure. Assist specialist subcontractors' requirements for PPM and reactive works, particularly those relating to electrical systems and HV infrastructure. Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all electrical works. Carry out tasks within typical building environments, including working at heights and within critical infrastructure areas; all access equipment and PPE will be provided. Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner. Proactively contribute to the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach. Comply with Integral’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, as detailed in the site plans. Complete any other associated tasks requested by management.

Experience/Qualifications Required:
Experience in a similar position within a maintenance environment, holding relevant qualifications (e.g., time-served apprenticeship, C&G or electrical equivalent). HV switching authorization, or willingness to undertake HV training. Extensive experience in electrical switching and maintaining critical infrastructure systems. Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge, including Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working. Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling and working at heights.
