Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer
A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM/Engineering Maintenance service provider near Kensington, London.
About the Role
- Location: Large commercial site proximity (Kensington, London)
- Type: Permanent position
- Salary: £45,000 per annum (inclusive of rises to £48,000 for candidates with HV Authorisation)
- Flexibility: Overtime available, ASAP start for right candidate
This is a highly stable, long-term opportunity within a prestigious FM contract.
Key Responsibilities
You will work a rotating shift pattern (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off) covering:
- Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Evening shifts: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
The role involves:
- Leading planned and reactive electrical maintenance within a dynamic, high-profile building services environment
- Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance for electrical systems (including fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs)
- Working across lighting, power, distribution, emergency lighting, and general building services systems
- Managing maintenance activities across a large commercial site

Essential & Preferred Experience
Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:
- Electrical systems maintenance in commercial/large-scale buildings
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Fault diagnosis & repair tasks
- Systems:
- Lighting
- Power & distribution
- Emergency lighting
- General building services
- High Voltage (HV) systems (desirable, authorisation-dependent)
Key Requirements
- Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- Experience in commercial building services maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to operate confidently in a complex, large-scale environment
- Physically capable for site-based demands
- Reliability + safety focus for both independent and teamworking
