Electrical Superintendent Opportunity – Relocation Required (US)

Key Responsibilities

As Electrical Superintendent, your role includes:

  • Developing and enforcing construction timelines, feasibility plans, and staffing needs for every phase.
  • Overseeing procurement and on-site delivery of tools/materials aligned with project schedules.
  • Leading hiring, training, and onboarding while ensuring adherence to company policies and labor laws.
  • Directing supervisory staff and subcontractors to optimize workflow, address delays, and implement quality improvements.
  • Orchestrating conflict resolution between contractors, managers, and labor efficiently.
  • Collaborating with engineering partners and suppliers to troubleshoot and innovate construction methods.
  • Conducting routine progress/audit inspections to ensure compliance with specification deadlines.
  • Ongoing performance evaluations, reports, and budget adjustments based on field conditions.
  • Managerial duties including supervising Foremen, coordinating craft workers, and directly overseeing non-supervisory staff if needed.
  • Flexibility to relocate for travel/web meetings, on-site site visits, and project-dependent relocations.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential Competencies

  • Exceptional oral and written communication (multileveled stakeholder engagement).
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams—large/medium groups—in maintaining project cohesion.
  • Analytical/logical reasoning to optimise solutions (proposal evaluation/applications to site).
  • Quality-conscious mindset with an emphasis on attention to detail and precision.
  • Tools/equipment assessment to ensure projects remain efficient and safe.

Work Style & Attributes

  • Successful in unstructured, high-pressure environments.
  • A collaborative leader who can leverage collective team effort.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil/engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience of 7–10 years in construction supervision (trailing in practical hands-on leadership).
