Spencer Ogden are supporting our client in their search for a Electrical Supervisor based in Isle of Grain

Main Purposes of Job

  • This supporting role is to assist and drive work areas by taking the lead role coordinating small teams and work activities on behalf of the Site Manager.
  • Reports to Site Manager or as required by deployment.
  • Duty of care for themselves and all individuals on site to ensure that they work safely at all times.

Key Tasks

  • Works to all applicable Siemens Energy QEHS procedures as briefed in the site induction.
  • Lead the teams assigned to the various work fronts ensuring work is executed on Time to the required Quality & within Cost. Forward planning to ensure upcoming work front have suitable, engineering information, Plant, Materials, Labour and any other elements to successfully deliver Tasks.
  • Operate within timescales set out by the site management and highlight potential deviations in advance including coordinating with other work parties to ensure efficient and safe working by all. Including capturing delay and disruption form original scope of work.

Key results/ Objectives

  • Adhere to the site rules as briefed to them by the Site Management team.
  • Carrying out actions and assist in creating required documentation within the project milestone dates.
  • Proactively participate in the completion of all task cards allocated to their team to the required timescale and comply with timesheet and expenses submission timescales.

Experience

  • Apprentice trained, C&G Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Appropriate Course) plus 1 years experience. Or an industry recognised training with a minimum of 2 years experience as part of a team on an Electricity Supply Industry construction site or similar (Power Generation, Oil & Gas or General Construction Sites).
  • Experienced in participating in site activities comprising of mechanical or electrical installation.
  • Comply with, and monitor Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental legislation / practices within a Power environment.
  • Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively lead site teams and work within a team or individually as required.

Client specific (NG for example only)

  • SSE Authorisation Cat 3, Scottish Power / NG Person BESC etc.
  • NG Competent Person NSI6.
  • NG Competent Person NSI8. (Limited).

Personal Attributes

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient IT Skills, Word Excel etc.
  • Proactive attitude to support site initiatives and in communication with site management and fellow team members.
  • Proactive attitude to problem solving.
  • Good at leading site teams, including creating and maintaining relationships.
  • Positive attitude to support conflict resolution.
