Knowlton & Newman, part of the Rubix Group, provide 24/7 engineering services including the repair, overhaul, installation, and maintenance of pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, hydraulic equipment and a wide range of industrial machinery across multiple sectors.

We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical teams on planned works, reactive maintenance, and project installations. You will ensure all electrical activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with company standards and UK regulations. Technically competent electrician responsible for ensuring that electrical work carried out by a company meets required safety, legal, and quality standards—especially under certification schemes like NICEIC.

The role will also involve attending site to scope new works, providing technical input for pricing, and supporting the development of accurate quotations.

  • Supervise electricians and apprentices on site.
  • Plan, allocate, and monitor daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
  • Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and team updates.

Project & Work Delivery

  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and RAMS.
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress and report issues, delays, or variations to the Project Manager.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
