Electrical Supervisor
Electrical Site Supervisor – Healthcare Project (London)
A major Healthcare Project in London is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to lead electrical installation activities across the project lifecycle. This role provides a unique opportunity to drive project excellence, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and optimising electrical installation works from site mobilisation through to commissioning, testing, and project handover. Aligned with Dornan’s vision, mission, and values, this role plays a critical part in achieving project success on one of London’s most high-profile healthcare developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities at all project stages, from initial site works to final commissioning and handover.
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring all electrical works meet safety, efficiency, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Review technical documentation (drawings, specifications, and plans) to comply with client requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
- Monitor site progress and deliver detailed progress reports on electrical activities against project schedules and deliverables.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure seamless coordination and successful delivery.
- Promote and enforce strict HSE policies, ensuring all site activities adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental, and legislative standards.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project close-out processes, including quality inspections, snagging, and handover documentation.
- Resolve technical and installation issues promptly on site, reducing downtime and minimising delays.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress logs, inspections, permits, and compliance documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in site productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

About You
To succeed as our Electrical Site Supervisor, you must bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and commercial experience to deliverρόtch projects safely and effectively.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in an Electrical Site Supervisor, Electrical Foreman, or equivalent senior technical role.
- Hands-on experience leading electrical installation teams on complex or large-scale projects.
- Strong track record of managing subcontractors and coordinating labour, ensuring on-time delivery without compromising quality.
- Commercial awareness with experience navigating tender evaluations, cost control, and value-add initiatives within construction.
- Robust knowledge of Health & Safety (HSE) standards and the ability to implement them rigorously across all project phases.

Desirable Qualifications & Certifications
- Relevant Electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3, Advanced NVQ, or equivalent).
- Experience working in healthcare, public sector, or large infrastructure projects.
- SSSTS (Site Safety Supervisor) and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certifications.
- Valid Safe Pass card (or equivalent, such as CSCS).
- Familiarity with BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations), BS EN 62305 (lightning protection), and other relevant standards.
