About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee our workshop’s electrical and mechanical support services, ensuring seamless operations, high productivity, and strong team leadership.
This role is key to driving our growth while maintaining a focus on sustainability and exceptional service delivery. As an Automator, you will lead a team, prioritise tasks, and guarantee compliance with all industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Operations & Workflow Management:
- Plan, organise, and prioritise schedules and resources to maximise productivity.
- Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, quality, and timely delivery standards.
- Meet deadline targets efficiently.

Compliance & Inspections:
- Ensure all electrical test certificates are completed accurately under BS7671 regulations, achieving first-time pass results.
- Oversee regional electrical services and safety inspections to minimise overdue tasks.
- Confirm installations in control containers follow IEE regulations.

Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of Electrical/Mechanical Assemblers.
- Monitor performance, safety, compliance, and team development.

- Provide regular updates on operational performance, health & safety, quality, and staff development.
Qualifications & Experience Required

Supervisory Experience:
- Proven track record of managing an electrical function in industry (construction/utilities preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to raise standards, enhance productivity, and foster strong H&S culture.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:

Qualifications & Compliance:
- ECS Gold Card (with ‘Installation Electrician’ status)
- IOSH Managing Safely certification through established system.
- Voucher Register electronic printable System).
- Comprehension of electrical health & safety regulations and ability to ensure internal controls and by-laws for effectiveness.

- Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to high-quality standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, proactive in overcoming challenges/inefficiencies.
- Outstanding time management and organisation, thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Full understanding of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality) compliance and relevant legislation.

Travel & Certifications:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
