Application Deadline: 24 May 2026 Department: Engineering Location: Totnes Compensation: £33,000 - £38,000 / year

Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on and detail‑focused Electrical Surveyor to join our growing renewables team. If you have strong electrical knowledge, enjoy being out on site, and take pride in designing safe, compliant installations, this is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering high‑quality solar, battery and EV charging projects.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative and supportive team, liaising closely with customers, sales and engineering colleagues to ensure projects are accurately surveyed, well designed and delivered smoothly. This role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to contribute directly to the success of renewable energy installations.

About The Role

Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

As an Electrical Surveyor, you’ll carry out detailed residential site surveys for solar PV, battery storage and EV charger installations. You’ll assess existing electrical systems, capture accurate site information and translate your findings into clear installation designs and job packs. Where required, you’ll also attend site to provide practical support to the engineering team during installations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
