Electrical Technician
Location: Exeter, Devon
Salary: £49,129 + Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Monday to Friday | 40 Hours
About the Opportunity
We're working with a leading UK industrial business that is looking to appoint an Electrical Technician to join its engineering team at a large-scale process facility in Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance professional to join a well-invested site offering long-term stability, ongoing training and the chance to work on a wide range of industrial plant and equipment.
The Role
As an Electrical Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the site by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across site equipment.
- Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conducting routine inspections and identifying potential issues before they develop.
- Completing maintenance records accurately using a CMMS.
- Assisting with improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Supporting contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
- Following Permit to Work procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times.
Requirements
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
- A recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification.
- Experience carrying out electrical maintenance within an industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Experience with HV systems, electrical testing qualifications or health & safety qualifications would be advantageous but is not essential.
