About Us

Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.

Job Opportunity

We have an opportunity in Exeter for an Electrical Technician to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary and Benefits

  • The salary for this role will be £49,129 per year
  • Participation in an annual bonus scheme
  • In addition to our great range of benefits

Responsibilities

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans, working to a high standard and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work.
  • Delivering improvement projects leading to increased plant reliability and cost reduction.
  • Undertaking assessments of malfunctioning equipment and providing advice to the site management team.

Key Skills

  • Excellent communication and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to think logically and decisively to provide required solutions in order to minimise down time and meet production demands.

Qualifications and Experience

Our ideal Electrical Maintenance Technician will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electro-Technical Installations or equivalent discipline
  • City & Guilds 2365-2 (Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations)
  • City & Guilds 2357-3 (Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnology)
  • City & Guilds 2382-15 (17th Addition, IEE wiring regulations)
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience of carrying out electrical maintenance on a fast-paced manufacturing/ production plant
  • Knowledge of CMMS and electrical systems.
  • Good understanding of a proactive maintenance strategy and condition monitoring.
