About The Role
Macro is currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to support us in the effective delivery of Facilities Management services to one of our key strategic clients, on a static site located in Cheadle, Manchester.
The ideal candidate will come from a maintenance or multi-trade background and be looking for a varied role within a global facilities management organisation, offering both autonomy and a strong work-life balance.
Your flexibility, technical know-how, and strong communication skills will be key to ensuring smooth daily operations on site.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across building services with an electrical bias.
- Undertake small electrical installation work, fault finding, testing, and inspection in line with BS7671.
- Supervise contractors and ensure safety, quality, and performance.
- Support the management of permits to work and review RAMS compliance.
- Support CAFM management, KPI tracking, and reporting.
- Support stakeholder engagement to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provide support for team members during annual leave.
- Support with administrative tasks.
- Carry out PAT testing, electrical isolations, and ensure compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, Macro standards, and client standards.
- Act as a Competent Person for LV systems.
- Ensure electrical works comply with BS7671 including MEIWC and EIC sign off.
Soft Skills / Personal Attributes
- Solid experience in building maintenance services.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.
- Experience working with or supervising subcontractors is an advantage.
- Understanding of compliance requirements and maintenance standards.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using basic IT tools for reporting and communication.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (minimum).
- BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations – current edition.
- C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing – Essential.
- Ability to undertake multi-skilled tasks beyond electrical including basic plumbing, HVAC, and fabric repairs.
- Strong knowledge of building services and maintenance practices.
- Experience in a similar multi-skilled or FM role.

It is an advantage for the candidate to have:
- Previous experience as a member of the Facilities team.
- Basic Health and Safety qualifications, including knowledge of RAMS, Permit to Work, and compliance paperwork.
- C&G 2377 PAT Testing certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Fire Safety experience.
- Good working knowledge of building management or industrial environment.
- IPAF certification.
