Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer

Location: Southampton, Dorset, Yeovil Salary: £38,000 + Uncapped Bonus (OTE c. £49,500)

The Role: Responsibilities

The Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer role involves:

  • Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs)
  • Completing:
    • Emergency Lighting Testing
    • Fire Alarm Inspections
    • Mains Analysis
    • Thermal Imaging
  • Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required
  • Completing reports and certification using cloud-based software
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of all documentation

Required Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395
  • AM2 qualification
  • Experience in an electrical testing environment
  • Experience with electrical installation or project work
  • Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations
  • Good IT literacy
  • IPAF 3a & 3b licence
  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)

Desirable

  • Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including evening/twilight shifts
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
