Our electrical division specialises in electrical safety, conducting hundreds of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and critical inspections daily. We are also a leading specialist in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, from end-to-end installation to ongoing safety examinations.
Location note: This role requires residence in or willingness to travel from South London and the South East areas.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer for British Engineering Services Electrical, you’ll deliver high-quality electrical testing across commercial and industrial sectors.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Conduct EICRs and other required electrical testing in line with BS7671 and company standards.
- Undertake minor remedial and testing works, such as:
- Emergency lighting testing
- Fixed appliance testing
- Thermal surveys
- Maintain accurate documentation using company CRM and reporting software.
- Liaise with clients and supply chain partners to provide clear communication and excellent customer service.
- Support workload peaks through flexible working hours, including overtime when required.

Requirements
To join our team, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (e.g., C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365 or equivalent)
- City & Guilds Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge
- A positive, diverse and inclusive attitude toward customers and colleagues
- Experience as a hard-working, conscientious commercial engineer who enjoys delivering great service to clients
- Good computer literacy
- Full driving licence and own vehicle
