Role Overview
Location: Slough (regional coverage—expect travel and compliance work as an integral part of the role) Salary: c. £60,000 OTE (£38,000 base + bonuses), company van (with fuel card), and robust benefits package Hours: Predominantly daytime working, with occasional unsocial hours to meet client schedules
About the Specialist Division
At PTSG (PTSG Group), we are an award-winning safety specialist company, serving customers across five key sectors. Today’s focus lies within our Electrical Safety division, comprising:
- PTSG ES (fixed wire testing & inspections)
- Guardian Electrical
- Electrical Compliance & Safety
Core to our division is PTSG ES, specialising in EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) for commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and retail properties. No two days are ever the same—varied locations and challenges keep the role dynamic.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform full-scale electrical inspections and tests of fixed wiring and switchgear, preparing accurate and actionable EICRs
- Identify critical compliance issues, log them clearly, and communicate findings professionally—no unnecessary bureaucracy
- Operate testing gear and software proficiently, ensuring work meets tight deadlines
- Work independently, adapt to site-specific challenges, and stay calm under pressure
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds standards
- Provide remedial guidance to clients

Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical testing, inspection, or compliance-adjacent roles
- Formal qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3
- 18th Edition Certification
- Full valid UK driving licence (essential for company-issued van operation)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and professional—no room for complacency
- Reliable and committed to ongoing skill development
