Electrical Testing Engineer
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Testing Engineer (Electrician) to join our growing field-based team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical services across a variety of sites nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who takes pride in their work, values compliance and safety, and is keen to develop their skills within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Duties
- Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Carry out inspection and testing in line with industry standards (including NICEIC where applicable)
- Support fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs using appropriate tools and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to a right first time standard
- Identify hazards, defects, and necessary remedial actions in compliance with regulations
- Assist with small works, installations, and ongoing maintenance tasks
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to project timelines

Health & Safety
- Follow all company policies, particularly in relation to health & safety
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Contribute to risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) where required
Administration & Operations
- Manage your own workload effectively while on site
- Complete all required reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate progress updates to operational and administrative teams
- Ensure company equipment is used, stored, and maintained correctly
- Maintain appropriate stock levels in your vehicle
Customer Service
- Provide a professional and responsive service to clients
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Handle on-site queries in a professional manner
- Maintain strong timekeeping and reliability
- Build positive relationships to support repeat business

What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Electrician with experience in testing and inspection
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexible, proactive, and willing to learn
- Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel)
