Electrician
Electrician – Permanent (Moderna, Oxford)
About the Role
Equans is seeking an Electrician to join our team in Oxford, working on a permanent contract with Moderna on a full-time basis (40 hours/week). A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package is on offer.
What You’ll Deliver
Core Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Compliance:
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance specifications, documenting work in real-time using a PDA (Portable Data Assistant).
- Log start, wait, stop, and completion times for tasks, including accurate travel logging and detailed commentary to evidence work completion.
- Equipment & System Maintenance:
- Maintain electrical distribution systems, generators, air handling units (AHUs), and pumps.
- Conduct weekly fire alarm tests, monthly emergency lighting assessments, HVAC maintenance, and heating/cooling system repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform lighting system repairs.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete all required paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works, submitting it promptly to the contract administrator.
- Fill out supplementary documentation/E-Forms as instructed by your line manager.
- Update the customer CAFM system with real-time logs (start/wait/stop times) and full work descriptions, noting any follow-on requirements.
- Ensure reactive tasks are prioritised and completed efficiently while identifying areas for improvement.
- Equipment Failures & Audits:
- Record all plant failures using quotation forms and escalate to your line manager.
- Ensure failures are noted in the CAFM system.
- On-Call Support:
- Participate in the on-call rota as necessary.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical qualifications (e.g., C&G 2357 or equivalent in engineering).
- BS7671: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation.
- AM2 ( thorium).
- Proven experience in building services (M&E electrical systems).
- Post-qualification experience required.
- 2391 Testing & Inspection (desirable).

- DBS Basic Check: Must be able to pass due to regulatory requirements.
- Right to work in the UK: Evidence required. No relocation support is available for this role.
