Electrician
Covering sites across the South West region - postcodes GU, PO, SO, RG and SP
£43,360 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm

We are recruiting an Electrician to join our Response team in the South West. Your duties will include carrying out responsive electrical repairs and electrical works in void properties including completing electrical installation condition reports (EICR). The role will include lone and team working, and you will also be required to be on an emergency call out rota. A company van and power tools will be provided for business use along with training as and when needed.
Base office location is Salisbury so occasional travel will be required to this site
The role of Electrician will include:
- Maintaining electrical installations and replacements in tenanted and void properties, ranging from changing a faulty light fitting or socket to partial/full rewires and CCU upgrades
- Inspecting and testing of occupied and void properties, ensuring safety and compliance
- Completing all paperwork and producing certification associated with works undertaken
- Monitoring and maintaining good levels of van stock to achieve a 1st time fix and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a suitable condition

Skills and experiences:
To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to 18th Edition - 3rd and 4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52, AM2 or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
