Temporary Electrician – Substation Project

About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Temporary Electrician to join our team on a substation construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, supporting the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in a safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical containment, cabling, and associated equipment.
- Carry out termination and connection of LV and control wiring.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all site health and safety procedures.
- Report progress and any issues to the Site Supervisor.

Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- ECS Gold Card (or equivalent electrical competency card).
- Previous experience working on substations, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Qualifications
- National Grid Persons or Competent Person authorisation.
- High Voltage (HV) experience.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- IPAF and/or PASMA.
- Full UK driving licence.
