Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Romsey. This is a shift-based role, with working hours being 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, alternating weekly. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across production and site facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

- Performing routine inspections
- Diagnosing faults
- Carrying out corrective work
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance
The role involves working with electrical schematics, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and adhering to relevant safety standards and compliance requirements. The Electrician will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to minimise downtime and optimise energy efficiency.
Qualifications
- 18th Edition
- Electrical Inspection & Testing qualification
- Strong knowledge of electricity principles and electrical engineering fundamentals relevant to industrial environments
- Proficiency in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and commissioning of equipment and systems
- Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical plant, machinery, and building services
- Effective troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults safely and efficiently
- Relevant electrical qualifications or apprenticeships (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and appropriate certification to work with electrical systems
- Solid understanding of UK electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and safe systems of work
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation, and use electrical testing instruments confidently
- Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is advantageous
