Duration: 12 month contract

Location: Altens, Aberdeen

Position Overview

This position supports the Operations Team Lead in achieving the highest standards for plant and equipment serviceability and certification in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. The role is essential for ensuring the timely maintenance, examination, and repair of a broad variety of electrical plant and equipment utilized within the company's asset lifecycle and next generation project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently and collaboratively to carry out examination, repair, maintenance, testing, and certification of electrical plant and equipment.
  • Complete verification and assurance maintenance routines, maintaining quality records as required.
  • Identify and report any faults or repair costs found in electrical equipment returned from clients, ensuring all work is performed to the appropriate standard.
  • Understand the root causes of failures and initiate action to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of equipment and materials as required for operational continuity.
  • Conduct inspections and minor repairs on returned equipment, supporting quality and safety standards.
  • Occasionally carry out repairs and testing on client-owned equipment according to procedure.
  • Foster a working environment focused on respect for health, safety, environmental responsibilities, and high-level service provision.
  • Commit to the company’s Competence Assurance System and undertake relevant training and assessments as required.
  • Adhere to housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the work environment and provide support to wider depot operations when requested.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Desirable: Compex certification, Validate Calibration (Welding), IEE Current Edition, experience with tooling and plant, and proficiency in PC software such as Word and Excel.
