Role Description

This full-time, on-site Electrician role is based in Waterlooville and involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Wiring and fitting electrical components
  • Testing and commissioning new installations
  • Troubleshooting electrical faults
  • Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks to ensure systems meet regulatory and company standards

The role also involves:

  • Collaborating with other M&E teams
  • Completing documentation
  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues to deliver a high level of service

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work skills.
  • Maintenance & repair and troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and equipment.
  • A solid foundation in electrical engineering principles relevant to building services.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and current industry certifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UK electrical regulations and safety standards (e.g., BS 7671, Health & Safety best practices).
  • Ability to work safely on-site, use tools and test equipment correctly, and follow risk assessments and method statements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
