WPS have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our WPS Responsive Maintenance team, delivering essential repairs and maintenance services across social housing properties in the Swadlincote area.
The focus of this role is to carry out responsive electrical works safely, efficiently and right-first-time, while providing an excellent service to residents. You'll also participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, supporting emergency repairs when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake responsive electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied homes
- Deliver high standards of workmanship, aiming for first-time fix
- Carry out testing, inspection and fault-finding works
- Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and technical standards
- Communicate professionally with residents, schedulers and supervisors
- Complete electronic job records, worksheets and reports via PDA
- Work safely at all times, following health & safety and safeguarding procedures
- Support other trades where required to complete multi-trade repairs

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Experience working in social housing / residential maintenance
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition (BS7671)
- 2391 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to take part in the out-of-hours call-out rota
