Location: Heysham 2 Power Station

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday–Thursday: 07:30–16:15
  • Friday: 07:30–11:30

Dalkia is looking for a reliable and skilled Electrician to join our permanent on-site team at Heysham 2 Power Station. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within one of the UK's most critical and highly regulated environments, with full support and training to help you transition into the nuclear sector.

The Role

As an Electrician at Heysham 2 Power Station, you will carry out a mix of planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a variety of environments on site. You will also be responsible for testing, inspection, and completing associated remedial works, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
  • Carrying out reactive maintenance and fault-finding
  • Completing electrical testing, inspection, and remedial works
  • Installing containment systems including cable, conduit, and tray
  • Selecting the correct materials, tools, and equipment for each task
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors where required
  • Working in full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and site-specific procedures

What We're Looking For

  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)
  • A strong understanding of electrical safety and best practice
  • A professional, safety-conscious approach to work
  • Background in an industrial setting will be advantageous.
