Are you a skilled Electrician ready for a new challenge?

Due to our continued success and growth, we are looking for skilled Electricians and have multiple opportunities to join our dynamic team in Campsie, Derry/Londonderry.

As an Electrician, you’ll be working in a supportive and dynamic environment, using your technical expertise and hands-on experience to contribute to a variety of electrical projects.

Reporting to the Production Manager/Supervisors, you will be responsible for the electrical wiring and mechanical assembly of LV/MV switchgear and control panels, ensuring all work meets engineering drawings, production timescales, and strict quality standards - both in the factory and at customer sites.

This role offers the chance to work on electrical switchgear assembly and electromechanical systems in a fast-paced, innovative environment, where your skills and expertise will make a real impact.

  • Assembling electrical switchgear and related electromechanical equipment based on engineering drawings and production schedules.
  • Maintaining high-quality workmanship standards both in the factory and at customer premises.
  • Working from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure precise assembly.
  • Contribute to the fitting, building, and construction of various parts for seamless component integration.
  • Conducting mechanical and electrical maintenance, including site modifications and thermal imaging inspections.
  • Ensuring a clean, safe working environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete testing of panels, including current injection testing.
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
  • Reporting on any substandard, malfunctioning, or defective parts.
  • Selecting, measuring and modifying components to ensure proper fit.
  • Carrying out MTOs and order materials for allocated tasks, both internally and for site works.
  • Assembling prototype and development units in collaboration with supervisors and managers.
  • Conducting thermal imaging inspections and compile reports.

Please note the above duties and responsibilities are not intended to be an exhaustive list. To achieve business objectives, other duties may be included at the discretion of the department manager.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • City & Guilds Electrical Qualification & an Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 or Equivalent.
  • Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacture or similar.
  • Experience in field service work / on-site installations.
  • Current 17th Edition Certification.

Desirable Skills, Qualification and Experience:

  • Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements (RAMS).
  • A strong foundation in electro-mechanical skills, along with a sound understanding of engineering tools, electrical hand tools, and equipment including torquing techniques is beneficial, but we also offer guidance and support to help you succeed.

In addition to the criteria outlined, we are keen to speak to individuals who have a strong work ethic, a hands-on approach, and a willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team environment. We’re looking for individuals who are confident working independently, while also thriving as part of a collaborative team.
