Electrician Multi Skilled

Electrical Technician – Multi Skilled role (Permanent, Full-Time)

Base Salary: £39,715 per year plus fully matched pension contribution Location: Cumbria (Carlisle to Eskdale patch) Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:30) Company Van: Provided for business use DBS and Health Checks: Covered by Home Group


About the Role

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As a core-trades electrician within Home Group, your key duties include:

  • Electrical installations, repairs & testing (complying with 2391:2018 standards*)
  • Safety-first work to strict regulatory and corporate standards
  • First-time completion of jobs, from initial quote to sign-off
  • Mobile app-based documentation of tasks and service updates
  • Reliable service delivery to meet customer satisfaction targets

Key Requirements

To succeed here, you must meet the following:

  • Qualifications:
    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or City & Guilds 2365/2382 (or equivalent)
  • Certifications:
    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018)
    • 2391:2018 Testing Inspections & Certification
  • Technical Skills:
    • Sharp fault-finding & troubleshooting for electrical systems
    • Confident with multi-trade/utility installations
    • Experience in housing maintenance (warmth, wiring, reporting)
  • Licences & Tools:
    • Full UK driving licence (required for fieldwork)
    • Tech-savvy (drop-in mobile app usage for job tracking/distances)
    • Willingness to upskill (e.g., software training offered)
