Electrician – Planned Works Team

Full Time | Permanent | Up to £43,000 DOE

Covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and surrounding areas

Monday–Friday, rota between 8am–5pm

Join bpha's In-House Maintenance Service and become part of our growing Planned Works Team, delivering high-quality refurbishment and improvement works that make a real difference to our customers' homes.

We're looking for a qualified and customer-focused Electrician with experience in planned works programmes, particularly kitchen refurbishments, rewires, and electrical upgrades within occupied and void properties. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship, works well independently, and is committed to providing an excellent customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Planned Works Team, you will:

  • Carry out kitchen rewires, and bathroom/shower room upgrades including chasing and installing surface-mounted containment within occupied and void properties.
  • Installation of new circuits and alterations of existing circuits where required.
  • Consumer unit replacements.
  • Inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations, completing electrical Installation certificates, minor works certificates, electrical installation condition reports, and all associated documentation to a high standard.
  • Complete fault finding, repairs, and remedial electrical works.
  • Work in line with the current edition of BS 7671 wiring regulations.
  • Undertake safe isolation procedures and testing.
  • Work closely with other trades as part of kitchen refurbishment programmes.
  • Deliver a professional and customer-focused service within customers' homes.
  • Manage your own planned works programme and work independently to meet deadlines.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and AM2.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Strong experience in domestic electrical installations, rewires, testing, and fault finding.
  • Experience working within planned maintenance or refurbishment programmes.
  • Excellent understanding of BS 7671 regulations and safe working practices.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (desirable).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a planned works schedule.
  • Full UK driving licence.
