About the Role
Join our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team as a Hands-On Electrician on-site in Portland, Dorset.
This is a diverse and progression-focused role within the UK’s priority sector: wastewater infrastructure. You will help ensure extensive water and wastewater networks remain operational, efficient, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, set up, and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites
- Conduct site inspections, identify faults, and produce survey reports to support quotation generation
- Interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment
- Work in varied environments, including:
- Confined spaces
- Working at heights
- All weather conditions
- Undertake regular travel across the UK, including overnight stays
- Provide occasional engineering workshop support nationwide
- Collaborate with:
- Engineering teams
- Other trades and colleagues across local water utilities

Requirements
Essential
- Valid UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Installations)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- JIB Gold Card
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Familiarity with wastewater infrastructure or municipal services
