The Role
As The Electrician, You’ll
- Deliver Responsive Repairs: Respond to and execute reactive domestic electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties.
- Manage Testing & Compliance: Carry out vital electrical installations, servicing, inspections, and testing, including completing full EICRs and executing necessary remedial works.
- Diagnose & Resolve Faults: Troubleshoot technical issues safely and efficiently, ensuring all work complies with the latest wiring regulations and safety documentation.
- Champion Tenant Satisfaction: Provide excellent, friendly customer service directly to residents, maintaining high quality standards and working alongside other trades when required.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Complete all digital certification, compliance logs, and job updates accurately and on time.

You
To be successful in the role of Electrician, you’ll bring:
- Fully Qualified Status (Essential): A completed NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification including the AM2 Portfolio/Assessment (e.g., C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 + NVQ Level 3, C&G 2356, or equivalent). Please note: Technical certificates/classroom-only theory qualifications cannot be considered.
- Up-to-Date Regulations: Valid 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Driving Credentials: A full UK Driving Licence to manage your mobile territory (covering Peterborough, Leicestershire, and the A47 corridor, with occasional visits to the Rushden office base for monthly meetings and training).
- Industry Experience: A proven background in domestic responsive repairs, housing maintenance, or local authority/housing association contracts.
- Desirable Extras: Inspection & Testing qualifications (City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395), PAT Testing, Part P, Unvented Hot Water, or a valid JIB Card are highly advantageous.

- A competitive basic salary of £40,000 - £41,000 per annum.
- An annual performance bonus of up to 5% (paid pro-rata each March).
