Location: Letchworth Garden City (working across Hertfordshire and surrounding counties)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

We’re now looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our Homes and Maintenance team, delivering high quality electrical repairs, rewires and planned maintenance across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties.
About the role
As an Electrician, you’ll carry out a wide range of electrical works including responsive repairs, full and partial rewires, planned maintenance and testing. You’ll work in both occupied and vacant properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with current regulations.
You’ll be a visible representative of SettleParadigm, working closely with colleagues across Property Services, Customer Services and our wider maintenance teams to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.
What you’ll do
- Carry out electrical rewires, responsive repairs, planned maintenance and associated making-good
- Complete inspection and testing, certification and notation for as-built drawings
- Undertake fault finding, rectification and renewals in domestic dwellings
- Carry out tests on existing installations (domestic and occasional industrial)
- Complete PAT testing as required
- Follow all health and safety policies, procedures and codes of practice
- Ensure PPE is worn and used appropriately at all times
- Estimate materials accurately and manage stock responsibly
- Purchase materials in line with procurement processes and submit delivery notes
- Complete all paperwork and job information accurately and on time
- Undertake weekly vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Report vehicle defects promptly
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team
- Participate in the out-of-hours standby rota (after probation)

What we’re looking for
Must haves
- Full Qualified Electrician, qualified to 17th & 18th Edition and 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing
- Fully conversant with current IEE regulations for domestic electrical installations
- Experience in electrical rewires, testing, fault finding and domestic installation work
- Experience of PAT testing
- Ability to plaster chases and small areas as part of installation work
- Strong understanding of health and safety within the building industry
- Good IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Full clean UK driving licence
