Role Description
This is a full-time, Electrician role working from our Newark office. Our works cover all regions of the UK so travel will be essential to this role. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Wiring and cabling
- Testing and inspecting systems
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults
The role also involves:
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Completing accurate documentation
- Collaborating with other trades on-site
- Communicating clearly with supervisors and clients about work progress and requirements
Fire alarm and security system knowledge would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills and knowledge in electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
- Experience with maintenance & repair of electrical installations and equipment, with a focus on reliability and safety.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical faults efficiently.
- Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to installations, load calculations, and system design.
- Recognized electrical qualification or apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and relevant industry certifications. JIB Gold card (ECS)
- Working knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards, including health and safety best practices.
- Ability to use electrical testing tools and hand/power tools, with attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
- Good communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel Nationwide when required; previous experience in commercial or industrial environments is an advantage.
- IPAF and Pasma will be required, again training can be provided.
