Electrician: In-House Maintenance

Salary: GBP 40,000 - GBP 43,000 + Overtime

Location: Winchester / Basingstoke

Package: Company Van + Fuel Card + PDA + Out-of-Hours Allowances

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a secure, steady role with an in-house team? We are looking for a reliable sparky to deliver high-quality electrical repairs, testing, and refurbishments across local residential properties.

If you take pride in sharp fault-finding and customer satisfaction—ensuring homes stay safe and fully operational—we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repairs and Fault Finding: Troubleshoot single- and three-phase systems, replace electric showers, and swap immersion elements.
  • Testing and Certification: Carry out EICRs, PAT testing, and issue Electrical Installation / Minor Works certificates.
  • Safety and Compliance: Work strictly to current BS 7671 (Part P) regulations and report urgent H and S defects directly to the Qualifying Supervisor.
  • Job Management: Log jobs digitally via mobile/PDA and manage van stock accurately.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualifications: C and G 2330 (or equivalent) + C and G 2382 (18th Edition).
  • Licence: Full UK Driver’s Licence.
  • Experience: Proven track record in domestic fault-finding, repairs, and customer-facing service.
  • On-Call: Willingness to participate in an Emergency Out-of-Hours rota.
  • Tech Skills: Comfortable using smartphone/PDA applications for daily workflows.

Desirable

  • Certification: C and G 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection and Testing certification.

Health and Safety Note: Candidates must pass Face-Fit testing for safety masks, which requires being clean-shaven (exemptions apply for medical/religious reasons).
