Role Purpose

The Electricity On-Sell Executive is responsible for optimising existing electricity on-selling sites, supporting the expansion of new projects, and delivering Vicinity’s Electricity On-Selling (EOS) strategy to maximise asset performance. This role collaborates closely with centre administration managers, property analysts, and Embedded Network Managers (ENMs) to ensure all project fundamentals and daily processes are executed effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for electricity on-selling projects
  • Managing project expansion rollouts
  • Conducting internal EOS staff training
  • Resolving retailer-related issues
  • Identifying, managing, and executing electricity sales opportunities to meet energy targets
  • Negotiating third-party energy contracts
  • Ensuring seamless delivery of energy-related projects
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to develop project feasibilities, business cases, and approvals
  • Monitoring financial performance, ensuring compliance, and promoting innovation in electricity sales and energy management

The role ensures optimal operational outcomes through strong leadership and service delivery standards.


Key Accountabilities

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Handle all external stakeholder energy and EN queries via the Zendesk ticketing platform, ensuring quick and accurate responses.
  • Ensure compliance with EN Exemption, ESCVic, AER, and EWOV regulations, including staying updated on regulatory changes.
  • Negotiate and secure favourable SME and C&I tariffs for tenants moving in or changing leases.
  • Maintain digital records of existing tenant lease SEOAs for easy access and auditing.

Operational Coordination

  • Oversee EN operational tasks, projects, and processes, collaborating with ENMs, asset teams, tenants, electrical contractors, and energy retailers for seamless execution.
  • Administer project fundamentals and daily operations, addressing issues proactively.
  • Support project expansion rollouts with planning, task management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide internal EOS training on processes and best practices.

Financial & Performance Monitoring

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for EOS projects.
  • Monitor financial performance, analysing metrics and driving improvement actions.
  • Ensure compliance audits and regulatory adherence through regular reviews.
  • Promote innovation by adopting industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Experience & Capabilities

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years in electricity sales, energy management, or a related field, with a proven record of successful project delivery.
  • Extensive experience managing third-party contracts and negotiating new energy agreements.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to achieve goals.

Critical Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep understanding of electricity sales principles, contract management, and ESOA compliance.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Keeping abreast of trends in energy management and sales innovations.
